Standards of Practice

Why are the Standards of Practice Important?
In the State of Colorado, there are not currently any rules or regulations that are applied to the home inspection trade. A home inspector is not required to follow any set of standards when inspecting a home in Colorado.
In addition, home inspectors in Colorado are also not required to undergo any specialized education or training.
For these reasons, it is important to be cautious when hiring a home inspector.
Although adherence to any set of standards is completely voluntary, it is important to choose an inspector who has agreed to follow a set of accepted standards (and is willing to adhere to those standards).
Our inspection reports are regularly submitted to officials at the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, who read through the report to verify that it meets their Standards of Practice requirements.

Who wrote the standards?
Our Standards of Practice were written by the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors for use by their members. If you would like more information regarding the creation of the standards, you can visit www.nachi.org.
Hands down, the best money I spent in my home buying experience. I have and will continue referring (Eye for Detail) to my friends and family. Thanks.
